As teachers, we must continue to grow stronger both spiritually and mentally to best guide the children. We must also use all the tools the Lord has given us here at Peace. We pray that the Lord’s will be done through us.

Personal Mission Statement

Teaching is an opportunity to serve the Lord. It is a privilege to imprint Christian values on God’s greatest gift, children. I present myself as a positive role model who sustains Christ-centered practices within a caring, compassionate, and respectful demeanor. It is a privilege and very humbling to teach children the skills that they need to walk confidently in this life and a joy to be able to share the promise of eternal life.

Professional Experience

Prior to accepting the call at Peace, I was an Enrichment Teacher at Merton Primary School where I developed early childhood programs that promote self-expression and social interaction. My initial teaching experience was at a public school in Pinehurst, North Carolina where strong teacher-parent partnerships made an impression on my instructional practices.

I enjoy delivering presentations to congregational members and organizations emphasizing the impact of outreach mission work in Grenada, West Indies. I currently serve as an International Mission Coordinator for Wisconsin Lutheran College, where I assist in in coordinating a Science Camp for 165 students, present staff-development workshops, and mentor undergraduate students in their individual service-leadership assignments. In addition to international work, I enjoy teaching a variety of VBS programs closer to home. My husband, Jeff and I are blessed with a daughter, Jade. During the summer, it’s easy to find us kayaking, rock-hunting, or bird watching.
